Unable to unlock iPad/iPhone

At IOS lock screen, you can't swipe.  You have a block around the "Swipe to Unlock".  It is also talking every time you do something.

You have the Voice Over enabled.  Now this is a huge pain if you just reset the ipad and it is in setup mode.

To turn it off press the home button 3 times.  Try swiping again. It should be back to normal.

How to stop your child from deleting installed apps in IOS

My son kept deleting apps he decided were "yucky" haha...

Here is how you stop them from deleting apps you want.

Go to Settings -> General -> Restrictions

Click enable

You will now be prompted to enter a pin so that your child can't come back and turn the restrictions off.

Now find deleting apps and swipe it to the left to turn it off.

Now if you want to delete an app, you have to come back here and turn it on.  It's a pain but its better then trying to figure out what app they deleted!

How to sync your Gmail/Google Apps Contacts

I have tested this with iOS and Mac OS X 10.8

Go to where you would setup your contacts.  For instance in OS X you would open the contacts app and go to add account.

For iOS you would go to the mail, contacts, calendar section.

Click new for both.

Select Add CardDav Account.

Server: google.com
Username: username@gmail.com (or this can be your google apps account)
Password:  enter your password (if your using 2-factor authentication, you need to create an app password)
Description: Whatever you want

The Contacts App takes a few minutes to sync but the iOS app should be instant.

How to Print from Apple iOS to an Unsupported Printer

I had a problem where my printer isn't supported as one of the "special" printers that can be just added and then print to it.  Well I found a great application that does what you need.  Download this app, super simple  to setup.  There is also a youtube video he posted.  Enjoy!
